Rachel Corrie, 23, Evergreen State College senior and International Solidarity Movement activist, refused to remain passive in the face of injustice. She was crushed by an Israeli Caterpillar bulldozer while defending a Gaza pharmacist’s home from demolition, one of over 27,000 illegally destroyed by Israel. Rachel is survived by her parents Craig and Cindy Corrie, denied justice under Israeli law, who established the Rachel Corrie Foundation; her sister Sarah and brother Chris; and many hundreds of others following her path to secure freedom, justice and equality for Palestinians including Eugene’s Al-Nakba Awareness Project.
